ECHO DOUGLAS OFFERS A VOLUNTEER DISCOVERY ZOOM MEETING FOR DOUGLAS COUNTY RESIDENTS

This event is an opportunity for new and current volunteers to learn more about how they can help vulnerable children and families in foster care.

Oct. 26, 2020, ROSEBURG, OR., ECHO Douglas (ECHO Douglas a non-profit organization that oversees Every Child Douglas) is looking to build its volunteer organization in Douglas County to help lessen the burden placed on our DHS staff and foster families. ECHO Douglas aims to provide love, care, and support for vulnerable children and families in Douglas County.

A couple of the ways ECHO Douglas has found that helps foster families and DHS is for volunteers of our community to become Advocates and Assist by some of the following ways:

Advocate
Increase awareness of our cause with family & friends
Promote our cause via social media
Recruit Volunteers to help serve vulnerable children & families
Obtain Financial Sponsors & Donors to help us continue our mission

Assist
Help ECHO with Hospitality, Events, Activities, Initiatives…
Help with clerical & data entry tasks for ECHO Douglas
Help families with relief care, skills training, tutoring through DHS

Oregon’s Department of Human Services (DHS) does not exist to recruit and coordinate volunteer efforts, but rather to care for children and families in crisis. So, ECHO Douglas stepped in to provide a coordinated effort in the community.

Our Volunteer Discovery Zoom Meeting gives new and current volunteers the opportunity to ask relevant questions and learn how they too can help.

Please join us for our Volunteer Discovery Event.
